Use Locktera Security Tools directly from Outlook.

 

Encoding using the Outlook Integration

  1. Designate authorized viewer emails
  2. Attach files
  3. To attach oversize files, click dropdown and load files
  4. The attached files can be encoded by clicking “Secure Files”. To add additional security rules, see the following pages

 

Add additional security rules as needed (optional):

  1. VIEW ONLY/ GRANT DOWNLOAD PERMISSION

    By default, all files are given view only permission. Move toggle to make files available for download permission. If files are not

  2. PASSWORD PROTECTION

    Assign a password to access

  1. LIMIT ACCESS BY DATES Designate date range that recipients are allowed access to files

    LIMIT ACCESS BY LOCATION AND/OR IP ADDRESS

  2. Designate IP Address(es) allowed to access files
  3. Designate Location(s) allowed to access files. Locations can be defined as Country only, Country and Region/State, or Country, Region/State and City.

BLOCK ACCESS BY LOCATION AND/OR IP ADDRESS

  1. Click toggle to “Block”.

  2. Designate IP Address(es) blocked from accessing files.

  3. Designate Location(s) blocked from accessing files. Locations can be defined as Country only, Country and Region/State, or Country, Region/State and City.

 

Send encrypted file

  1. After encoding the access link will appear in the email body.

  2. Click send.

Decrypt Secure Files For Viewing

  1. Click on “Decrypt and view files”

  2. Complete authentication process using authorized email (email link was sent to)

  1. If all security rules are met, the content will appear.

  2. Click dropdown to view all files.

  3. If authorized, the files can be downloaded by clicking on the blue download button. (it will not appear if not authorized).

  4. Note: authorized date range for viewing.

Freuqently Asked Questions

1. I accidently deleted a user. Did I lose all data for that User?

No. Upon deletion User data is disabled for 30 days before it is completely deleted from the system. To restore the User, simply add the User and the data will reappear.

2. Does Org Admins, User Adminss and Account Owners have access to User’s content stored in TERA Files?

No. Only engagement statistics are visible. Content is only visible to the User that secured the content and authorized viewers.
